Wollaton Park, Nottingham

Meeting up with a past photography tutor of mine we decided to go to Wollaton park a large deer park about 20 minutes bus ride from the city centre, its also the scene of wayne manor in the new batman film.

The building around were home to some swallows nesting and feeding their young.

Following on from the swallows we walked around the lake where using polarising sun glasses spotted a pike in the water so used the gopro to get a 'rough' shot but can always come back with more equipment.

finally one of the dogs we were walking with spotted something so i rushed to to find a female red deer in the clearing presenting a great opportunity.

Hints -

- Although dogs aren't always the best idea for wildlife shoots (especially deer) in this case it spotted the deer well before me so do have uses.

-  Getting rough or recca shots give me a idea of whats there and better prepare me for next time.

- today the conditions were rainy and very overcast but don't let this put you off as the light is very even and animals dont have the blearing sun in the eyes making them more aware of there surrounds.
